Privacy notice
We know it isn’t thrilling, but ensuring your privacy settings are set protects you legally, and ensures your clients know how their data is processed.
Your site has a privacy notice at /privacy. It’s written for you from your settings and updates itself when your site changes. It covers things like your contact form, bookings, client accounts, age verification and any services you’ve connected, plus how we handle data as your host.
Navigate to Settings → Privacy to configure your privacy notice. If you have any outstanding items, you’ll see a checklist at the top of the page.
Only the site owner can change the privacy details or accept the data processing agreement. Other admins can see the page, but can’t edit it.
Privacy details
Section titled “Privacy details”- Go to Settings → Privacy.
- Fill in the fields below.
- Select Save details.

| My site offers adult or intimate services | Set to Yes to add an explanation to your notice that contacting or booking you may reveal sensitive information, and the explicit consent this relies on. Your site is then limited to one admin (see below). |
Select View notice or Preview /privacy to see the result.
Adult or intimate services and other admins
Section titled “Adult or intimate services and other admins”To help keep you safe under UK law, a site that offers adult or intimate services can only have one admin: the site owner.
If you set My site offers adult or intimate services to Yes while you have other admins, you’ll see a warning. When you select Save details, an Are you sure? box lists the admins who will be permanently deleted. Select Delete admins and save to go ahead, or Cancel to keep them.
While this setting is on, you can’t add new admins.

Use your own privacy page
Section titled “Use your own privacy page”If you setup a page at /privacy, we’ll show that page instead of the generated privacy policy. If you want to get started:
- Go to Settings → Privacy and select Copy as Markdown (or open Show the Markdown).
- Create a new page at
/privacy. - Add a new text block, and paste the text in (see Pages & blocks).
- Edit the text as you like, then publish the page.
While your page is a draft, visitors keep seeing the generated notice, so you can take your time. As soon as you publish it, visitors see your page instead. To go back to the generated notice, unpublish or delete your page.
If your policy lives somewhere else
Section titled “If your policy lives somewhere else”Already have a privacy page at a different address, such as /privacy-policy? Open that page’s settings and add /privacy under URL Redirects. Visitors going to /privacy are then sent to your page. See Redirects.
A published page at /privacy always wins over a redirect.
Accept the data processing agreement
Section titled “Accept the data processing agreement”Because we host your site, we handle your visitors’ information on your behalf. UK law requires a written agreement between you and us for this.
- Go to Settings → Privacy and scroll to Data processing agreement.
- Read the agreement (or select Open the agreement in a new tab).
- Tick the box to agree, then select Accept agreement.
The section then shows when and by whom it was accepted. If we update the agreement, you’ll be asked to read and accept the new version.
