Moving your website here

If your site is new, SophieBot’s panel offers Move my website here. This brings your pages, words and colours over from another platform.

Open SophieBot and select Move my website here. You’re asked to confirm first, because the move replaces your whole site.
Paste the address of your current website.
A full move needs See & change for Pages, Styling, Blogs & events and Photos. If any is missing, SophieBot lists what it needs with an Allow button for each. Allow the areas you’re happy with. Anything visitors would see still waits for your OK unless you’ve chosen otherwise.
SophieBot looks at your old site, then offers a few looks (vibes) for the new one, starting with your current look. Pick one, or describe your own.
SophieBot builds your new site. This takes a little while. You can close the page and come back later, as it carries on without you. If SophieBot has your email address, it emails you when it’s ready.
When it’s done, SophieBot shows a report: what’s on each page, pages it combined, redirects from old addresses, photos to add and anything you need to do yourself.
Look around your new site and ask SophieBot for any tweaks.

A step bar under the panel’s header shows how far along the move is, for example Looking at your site, Choosing a vibe, Setting up your site, Have a look around and Tweaks.

Your photos aren’t copied from the old site. Add them yourself in Photos & collections, or give them to SophieBot as files.
