Age & login settings

Go to Site content → Age & login to choose what visitors see when content or contact needs age verification. This is also where you set up the highlighted button in your navbar. The page has two tabs; the Navbar button tab has its own page. When you’ve made changes, click Save.

Age verification tab

Whole site requires age verification: when this is On, visitors who haven’t verified their age or logged in see only the age verification message on every page of your site. Your photos are blurred for them too. Your privacy notice stays open, and search engines can still index your pages. When it’s Off (the default), only blocks marked Requires age verification are locked. It only works once age verification is set up on your site.

Locked content is the message shown over blurred blocks:

Setting	What it does
Locked content heading	The heading shown over blurred blocks, and on every page when the whole site requires age verification.
Locked content text	The text under that heading, in both places.

Before getting in touch is the popup a signed-out, unverified visitor sees when they tap Send WhatsApp, send a message or book:

Buttons:

Setting	What it does
Verify button text	The label on the button that starts age verification.
Login button	Show or hide a login button next to the verify button. It opens a username and password form right in the message. Once logged in, clients skip age verification.
Login button text	The label on the login button.
Sign up	When this is On, visitors can make their own account from the login form with a username, password and phone number. They’re logged in straight away.
Login page	A backup page with a login block, such as your private gallery. It’s only used if the popup form can’t open.

Note

Accounts that visitors make with Sign up still have to verify their age. They show a Signed up badge and start as Not a client. Once they verify while logged in, that’s saved on their account and they aren’t asked again. Accounts you create yourself skip age verification. To give a signed-up visitor full access, tick This person is a client in their edit panel. See Age check records.
