Options every block has
Section titled “Options every block has”| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| Requires age verification | Hides the block until the visitor passes the 18+ age check. Blocks with this on show an 18+ badge in the editor. |
| Message position | Appears once Requires age verification is ticked. Choose where the age verification message sits over the blurred block: Middle (the default) or Top. |
| Width | How wide the block runs: Narrow, Standard, Wide or Full width. Standard lines up with your other blocks. |
The Hero Banner, Photo Gallery and Private Gallery blocks set their own width, so they don’t have the Width option.
How age-locked blocks look
Section titled “How age-locked blocks look”Until a visitor passes the age check, a locked block is blurred and its photos are swapped for blurred copies, so the real photos never reach their browser. Your headings and text stay behind the blur, but aren’t scrambled.
- The age verification message stays on screen as visitors scroll through the locked area.
- Locked blocks next to each other share one message, placed using the Message position of the first of them.
- Logged-in clients count as verified, so they see locked blocks straight away.
- Search engines can still read locked content, so it counts towards your search results.
The markdown editor
Section titled “The markdown editor”Text fields marked “Markdown supported” use a small editor with a toolbar for bold, italic, H2 and H3 headings, lists, quotes, links, tables, code and dividers. Switch between Write Mode, Split View (side by side) and Preview Mode to check how it looks.
Choosing images
Section titled “Choosing images”Next to image fields you’ll find a picker that opens Choose a website image, showing the photos in your Website collections. If you don’t have any yet:
- Select Go to Website Collections to upload some, or
- Select Use placeholder image for a gradient in your accent colour that you can swap for a real photo later.
