Drafts, publishing and autosave

Posts and events stay hidden until you publish them.

• Autosave: while you’re editing, your work saves itself a couple of seconds after you stop typing, every 30 seconds, and when you leave the page. The label beside the buttons shows when it last saved, for example “Draft autosaved at…”.
• Autosave doesn’t publish. It keeps whatever status the post or event already has. A brand-new one is autosaved as a draft.
• To publish, untick Save as Draft and click Save Changes. To take something back offline, tick it again and save.
• You need a title before you can publish. A draft can be saved without one.

Caution

Autosave also applies to things that are already published. If you edit a live post, your changes can appear on your site before you click Save Changes.

Deleting

Click Delete on a post or event and confirm. This can’t be undone.
